Can the same straw be used for the entire test?
Yes, the same flexible tube can be used to blow into all tubes.

How should I dissolve the sachet?
Please read the information contained in the "More information" section of the corresponding test.

I vomited after drinking the solution, what should I do?
If vomiting has occurred prior to sampling, it is possible that there is not enough solution in the small intestine. This may cause a false negative result. You should consult with your physician about repeating the test.

What happens if a tube breaks?
If a tube breaks, blow into the glass tube corresponding to the last time. This tube is usually not essential for the interpretation of your result. Then mark with a permanent marker pen the time at which you have taken each sample. Also, indicate in the instructions for use that you have had to change the order of the tubes.

Is it normal for the tube to fog up when blowing?
The fogging of the tube is an indication that it has been blown well.

Can the patient drink during the test?
Try to avoid drinking water during the test. If necessary, only non-carbonated water may be drunk and preferably after 90 minutes have elapsed since the substrate was taken.

How does a child have to perform the procedure?
Children should take doses of substrate adjusted to their weight, as indicated in the instructions for use of each product. This amount of substrate will be diluted in 125 ml of water in the case of children who cannot drink a full glass.

What if I drank the solution before blowing into the 0-tube?
Please remember to send us the instructions for use with what happened to you. We will analyze the result taking into account the incident and will try to interpret the results appropriately.

If you miss the indicated time to blow into the next tube, what should you do?
You should follow the times indicated on the tubes, taken from the administration of the substrate. Please blow into the corresponding tube as soon as you remember to do so, and note in the instructions for use the minute in which you have blown (counting from minute 0, when you have taken the substrate). Blow into the next tube at the appropriate minute as indicated on the tube. Do not delay the sample collection. For example, if the fourth tube was blown at the 83rd minute instead of the 75th minute (as indicated on the instructions for use), tube 5 should be blown at the 100th minute, as indicated on the instructions. Remember to send us the instructions for use with your notes. One value on the graph will be wrong, but at least the others will be correct.
